"If the US focused on curbing climate change as soon as a new president took office – or sooner – it could help pull the world from the financial brink, according to environmental policy experts." I've been saying this for years. FDR saved us from the depression because integral to his "New Deal" was a huge national infrastructure program, providing jobs for many of the unemployed masses. If this bailout plan included green jobs as well as all the corporate investment and buying up bad debt already written into law, we could have the same sort of success. It's worth a try...
